Welcome to the Workplace Learning Evaluation Tool section.
The Evaluation Tool is an output of the Scottish Executive and European Social Fund funded project 'Promoting Workplace Learning' and was created and refined with the assistance of employers and employees. Whilst the Tool can be used to evaluate learning provision at all levels within an organisation it is primarily intended for those organisations who do not currently undertake learning evaluation. It is envisaged that organisations will, in the first instance, find it most useful to evaluate non certificated individual skills and tasks and/or ad-hoc learning provision.
The Evaluation Tool enables you to assess, over a period of time, the increased level of knowledge and skill the training delivers. This will ensure that the training provision has a direct bearing on the performance of your business. The Evaluation Tool is simple to use and should take no more than a few minutes to complete for each skill/task and only requires input from the supervisor and employee.
To access the Evaluation Tool please click on the menu on the Left. Unfortunately the Evaluation Tool cannot be used directly from the website. In order to use the Evaluation Tool you will need to download it to your PC or copy it to a CD or Floppy disc.
Also available in the menu on the Right are the Development Report and Technical Appendices. These provide an interesting insight into how the tool was developed.
